Movistar Plus+ and Orange TV to Integrate DAZN Channels for Full 2026 World Cup Coverage

FIFA World Cup 2026 trophy.

In a major win for Spanish football fans, Movistar Plus+ and Orange TV have confirmed they will integrate DAZN’s World Cup channels to broadcast the entire 2026 FIFA World Cup. The agreement ensures that both telecommunications giants will offer all 104 matches of the expanded tournament to their subscribers.

The deal follows a strategic sub-licensing agreement between DAZN and Grup Mediapro, the company producing the dedicated 24/7 World Cup channel for the Spanish market.

Distribution Across Platforms

Spain’s leading operators have structured their offerings to ensure maximum reach for the tournament, which kicks off on June 11, 2026:

  • Movistar Plus+: All matches will be available to customers with the miMovistar convergent plans. Movistar has also committed to providing exclusive supplementary content, including original reports and in-depth interviews.
  • Orange TV: The tournament will be included at no extra cost for all customers who have the Total Football package.
  • DAZN OTT: Subscribers to the streaming platform will also have full access to the dedicated linear channel and on-demand content via the DAZN app.

The Role of RTVE (Free-to-Air)

While the pay-TV operators will carry every single minute of the tournament, the Spanish public broadcaster RTVE has secured the rights to ensure key matches remain free for all citizens:

  • The Investment: RTVE paid approximately €55 million for the free-to-air package.
  • Guaranteed Matches: All Spain national team fixtures, the opening match, both semi-finals, and the Final.
  • Additional Coverage: One match per day throughout the competition, totaling around 30+ matches in high definition.
