Formula 1 (F1) has officially expanded its commercial stable by signing a multi-year partnership with British financial giant Standard Chartered.

Under this new agreement, the bank becomes the Official Wealth Management Partner and the Official Corporate and Investment Banking Partner of Formula 1. The deal guarantees Standard Chartered high-visibility trackside branding and exclusive hospitality access for its global clientele at Grand Prix weekends.

Focus on F1 Academy and Global Reach

The partnership extends beyond the main grid; Standard Chartered has also committed to sponsoring F1 Academy, the all-female developmental series. This move aligns with the bank’s efforts to promote diversity and inclusion on a global stage.

Standard Chartered joins an elite group of 16 “Official Partners” (the second tier of F1 sponsorship), alongside brands like American Express, Santander, and Louis Vuitton. These brands sit just below the ten “Global Partners,” which include giants such as Aramco, AWS, and Qatar Airways.

Expanding a Prestigious Sports Portfolio

Standard Chartered is no stranger to high-level sports marketing. Their portfolio is anchored by their iconic front-of-shirt sponsorship of Liverpool FC, a partnership that began in 2010 and is set to continue through at least the 2026-27 season. The bank also maintains a presence in professional golf through the DP World Tour.

By joining forces with F1, Standard Chartered looks to capitalize on the sport’s surging popularity in key markets across Asia, Africa, and the Middle East, where the bank has a significant footprint.
