FC Barcelona extends WhiteBIT cryptocurrency partnership until 2030

FC Barcelona has agreed a five-year extension of its partnership with WhiteBIT, confirming the company will remain the club’s Official Cryptocurrency Exchange Partner and Global Partner through 2030.

The renewed deal strengthens Barcelona’s long-term positioning within the digital finance sector, aligning the club with one of the fastest-growing areas of global technology while ensuring stability across its commercial portfolio.

Originally launched in 2022, the partnership has evolved beyond a traditional sponsorship model into a broader collaboration focused on digital engagement and technology integration. Under the new agreement, WhiteBIT will continue to be present across multiple areas of the club, including the men’s and women’s football teams, the basketball division, and the Barça Innovation Hub.

This multi-platform approach is designed to maximise visibility and create deeper activation opportunities, reflecting a strategy that blends sport, innovation, and fan engagement.

Speaking on the renewal, club executive Manel del Río highlighted the importance of maintaining strong ties with emerging industries, noting the growing strategic relevance of the cryptocurrency sector.

Meanwhile, Volodymyr Nosov, founder of WhiteBIT’s parent group, emphasized the partnership’s role in driving mainstream adoption of digital assets, aiming to bring cryptocurrency experiences closer to everyday football fans.

The extension underscores FC Barcelona’s continued focus on innovation-led partnerships, leveraging its global brand to connect with new technologies and audiences.
