Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD) Sports and Scott Sports have officially announced a long-term partnership that solidifies the Swiss brand as the Official Cross-Country (XC) Bike Partner for the Whoop UCI Mountain Bike World Series. This agreement, covering at least the next two seasons, marks a significant step up from Scott’s previous local-level involvement.

Key Highlights of the Partnership

  • Title Status: Scott Sports becomes a top-tier series partner alongside major names like RockShox, Monster Energy, and Motul.
  • Soldier Hollow Presenting Partner: Scott will serve as the Event Presenting Partner for the highly anticipated XC World Cup round in Soldier Hollow, Utah (USA), scheduled for September 19–20, 2026.
  • Heritage & Innovation: The deal leverages Scott’s deep history in the sport, specifically through the success of the Scott-SRAM MTB Racing Team and legends like Nino Schurter.

Strategic Growth for WBD Sports

Under the management of Chris Ball, Vice President of Cycling Events at WBD Sports, the series has undergone a major overhaul to unify Cross-Country, Downhill, and Enduro formats.

  • Global Reach: The 2026 season marks the first time the series has returned to the Asian continent in 25 years.
  • Licensing Stability: For the first time, the top 10 ranked teams (including Scott-SRAM) have secured two-year licenses to ensure financial and competitive stability through 2027.

“Cross-country racing is woven into our DNA, so stepping in as the Official Cross-country Partner feels like a natural fit. It’s a great opportunity to celebrate our heritage while continuing to push the sport forward.” — Julian Wagner, Global Bike Marketing Lead at Scott Sports.
