Netflix Brazil has unveiled an ambitious slate of sports programming for 2026, centering on the rich legacy and cultural impact of Brazilian soccer. The lineup features three distinct documentaries, headlined by a highly anticipated series on the legendary Ronaldinho Gaúcho.
The collection kicks off on April 16 with “Ronaldinho: The One and Only,” a three-part miniseries offering an intimate look at the life of the global icon. Featuring exclusive access and testimonials from peers like Lionel Messi and Neymar Jr., the series documents the journey of the Porto Alegre native who became one of the most decorated players in history.
Following this, “USA 94: Brazil’s Return to Glory” premieres on May 7. This documentary utilizes never-before-seen footage recorded by the athletes themselves to chronicle the Brazilian national team’s emotional journey to their fourth World Cup title.
The trilogy concludes on June 8 with “The Root Of The Game,” which shifts the focus to the grassroots level. Set during São Paulo’s prestigious Super Copa Pioneer, the series explores the world of várzea (amateur) soccer, featuring stars like Cafu and Raphinha as they revisit the fields that shaped their professional careers.
