Herbalife Renews Partnership with LA Galaxy Special Olympics Unified Team

Herbalife has announced the continuation of its support for the LA Galaxy Special Olympics Unified Team, reaffirming more than two decades as the club’s Official Nutrition Partner. The program provides Unified Team athletes, ages 16 to 25, with the same nutrition expertise, training resources, and professional-level equipment that LA Galaxy pro players receive.

Athletes will have access to elite training, team gear, travel, scrimmages, and matches against other MLS Unified Teams throughout the 2026 season. The initiative aims to enhance athletic performance both on and off the field while fostering inclusion and personal growth.

“Building on our shared commitment to health, wellness, and personalized nutrition for peak athletic performance, we’re excited to partner with the LA Galaxy to once again support the Unified Team,” said Samantha Holway, Vice President of Regional Sales & Business Development at Herbalife North America. “Through this initiative, we provide athletes with the same level of expertise and resources that we’ve offered the LA Galaxy pro team for the past 20 years.”

Unified Team athletes officially joined the program during a signing ceremony at Dignity Health Sports Park, attended by select LA Galaxy team members, Head Coach Greg Vanney, General Manager Will Kuntz, President and COO Tom Braun, and mascot Cozmo. Families toured the stadium and participated in a nutrition session led by Herbalife’s Sports Performance team, which develops tailored nutrition strategies year-round for LA Galaxy players.

“The Special Olympics Southern California Unified Sports program allows athletes to break down barriers, foster lasting friendships, and showcase their talents in an inclusive environment,” said Will Kuntz. “Through our partnership with Herbalife, Special Olympics athletes gain access to the best resources on and off the field while building confidence and skills that last a lifetime.”

The LA Galaxy Special Olympics Unified Team will compete in games and scrimmages throughout the season, part of the larger Unified Sports program that integrates athletes with and without intellectual disabilities, using the power of sports to promote social inclusion.
