WSL Giants Lead Women’s Money League

Arsenal, Chelsea, and Barcelona have emerged as the financial powerhouses of women’s football, with Arsenal topping the Deloitte Women’s Club Revenue Ranking for the first time.

According to the 2026 Deloitte report, Arsenal and Chelsea both surpassed €25 million in revenue last year, followed closely by Barcelona at €22 million. The top 15 clubs globally saw a massive 34% increase in cumulative revenue, reaching a record €158 million.

Key Highlights:

  • Commercial Dominance: Commercial deals now account for 72% of total revenue, with Chelsea leading this sector at €19.1 million.
  • Matchday Success: Arsenal leads in matchday income with €7 million, nearly double that of their closest rivals, thanks to successful stadium strategies.
  • The WSL Gap: English clubs dominate the ranking, occupying eight of the top 15 spots.
  • Growing Disparity: A “meaningful gap” is forming; the top three clubs (Arsenal, Chelsea, Barca) now generate more than triple the average revenue of the rest of the top 15.

While broadcast revenue saw a slight 6% dip, international competitions like the UWCL and the inaugural World Sevens Football tournament are becoming vital income streams for clubs like Manchester City and Bayern Munich.
