In a bold and emotional play for long-term fan loyalty, AJ Auxerre has unveiled “Génération AJA,†a unique initiative designed to connect the club with its community from the very first moments of life.
Partnering with the Fondation Horizon AJA and the Yonne Department, the Burgundy-based club will now gift every newborn at the Centre hospitalier d’Auxerre a special club-branded birth kit.
A club identity from day one
Each year, around 1,600 babies are born at the hospital. Under this initiative, every newborn will receive a blue-and-white kit featuring a miniature jersey, shorts, and a personalized welcome message from the club—alongside official documents from the local department.
The objective is both symbolic and strategic: to embed club identity into family life from the earliest stage, turning regional pride into generational support.
Building lifelong loyalty
Club executives have made it clear that “Génération AJA†is about more than merchandise—it’s about belonging. By associating one of life’s most meaningful milestones with the club, Auxerre is crafting an emotional bond that could last decades.
Executive president Baptiste Malherbe emphasized the vision behind the project, highlighting the club’s deep-rooted connection to its territory and its people.
A model for grassroots engagement
At a time when football clubs worldwide are searching for deeper, more authentic fan engagement strategies, Auxerre’s initiative stands out. It blends community outreach, branding, and identity-building into a single gesture—simple, yet powerful.
In doing so, AJ Auxerre is not just welcoming new lives into the world—it’s welcoming a new generation into its story.
