Bodo Glimt Ride Champions League Momentum with 2026 Home Kit Launch

Norwegian side Bodø/Glimt have unveiled their 2026 home kit, blending a celebration of their 110-year history with a bold statement about their growing global footprint following a historic UEFA Champions League campaign.

Founded in 1916 in the Arctic coastal town of Bodø, the club has evolved from a small local team into one of European football’s most admired underdog stories. Their remarkable journey reached new heights this season, as they advanced to the round of 16 in the UEFA Champions League in their first-ever appearance in the competition.

The 2026 home kit serves both as a tribute and a forward-looking statement. It honors loyal supporters from northern Norway and an expanding international fanbase, while underlining the club’s ambition to reach new audiences and markets worldwide.

Midfielder Patrick Berg emphasized the emotional significance of the launch:
“This shirt is a tribute to everyone who has been part of our journey—past, present, and future. We come from a small fishing town in northern Norway, but more and more people around the world are following Bodø/Glimt. We are proud to have them with us.”

Heritage Design Meets Modern Identity

The new jersey draws inspiration from some of the club’s earliest kits. While the iconic yellow remains central, a standout feature is the return of the classic collar—an homage to shirts worn in the club’s early decades, as well as during the 1990s and early 2000s.

Designed by Puma, the kit also highlights sustainability. It is made with 95% RE:FIBRE material, Puma’s recycled textile technology produced from factory waste, defective products, and old garments—positioning it among the more environmentally conscious options in modern sportswear.

On-Pitch Debut

The new kit will make its official on-field debut when Bodø/Glimt’s women’s team kicks off their second consecutive season in Norway’s top division against Hønefoss BK at the club’s home ground, Aspmyra Stadion.

With a design that bridges past and future, the 2026 home shirt encapsulates Bodø/Glimt’s journey—from a remote Arctic town to a rising global name in European football.
