A potential crossover between two of the biggest names in American sports and entertainment may be on the horizon, as WWE and NFL legend Tom Brady are reportedly in discussions for a possible appearance at WrestleMania 42.
While no deal has been finalized, multiple reports suggest that preliminary talks have taken place between WWE and Brady’s camp, with both sides exploring how the seven-time Super Bowl champion could fit into the spectacle in Las Vegas next month.
The timing is notable. Brady has recently been engaged in a very public—and carefully orchestrated—back-and-forth with WWE star Logan Paul, with the pair trading barbs across interviews and social media in the lead-up to the Fanatics Flag Football Classic.
Brady’s comments on WWE, calling it “so cute and scripted,†ignited further reactions within the wrestling world, reinforcing the idea that this feud is less spontaneous and more aligned with the storytelling traditions of professional wrestling itself.
Behind the scenes, however, the situation appears to be more than just promotional banter.
According to reports, WWE has explored incorporating Brady into WrestleMania 42 in some capacity, with internal discussions reportedly including branding, merchandise concepts, and potential on-screen involvement. While sources caution that a full in-ring performance is highly unlikely, a cameo or non-wrestling role remains on the table.
The possibility is further fueled by Brady’s business ties to WWE’s ecosystem. He is a minority stakeholder in Fanatics, which produces WWE merchandise, strengthening the commercial logic behind a collaboration.
Adding another layer, WrestleMania 42 will be held at Allegiant Stadium, home of the NFL’s Las Vegas Raiders—an organization in which Brady also holds a minority ownership stake. The convergence of business, location, and narrative makes the scenario uniquely compelling.
For WWE, bringing in a figure of Brady’s stature would represent a continuation of its long-standing strategy of blending celebrity culture with sports entertainment. For Brady, it would mark yet another step in his post-NFL evolution into media, business, and entertainment.
While nothing is finalized, all signs point toward WWE attempting to capitalize on one of the most recognizable athletes in history—potentially setting the stage for one of the most talked-about moments of WrestleMania 42.
