Orioles Open the Door to Betting’s Next Frontier as PureWager Targets US Entry Through Stadium Experience

PureWager Group has entered the United States market through a strategic partnership with the Baltimore Orioles, marking a significant first step for the betting operator in one of the most competitive and regulated sports betting environments in the world.

The agreement designates PureWager as the team’s exclusive sports betting partner and includes naming rights to a new in-stadium hospitality area, the PureWager Pavilion, located at Oriole Park at Camden Yards. The activation is designed to blend betting, entertainment, and fan engagement into a single live-game experience.

For the Orioles, the deal represents both a commercial opportunity and a continuation of the growing integration between sports franchises and betting operators across Major League Baseball. Club officials say the partnership will enhance the fan experience while opening new revenue streams.

PureWager, meanwhile, is using the deal as a gateway into the US market. Rather than competing directly with established giants like FanDuel and DraftKings on scale, the company is pursuing a more targeted strategy—focusing on venue-based engagement and immersive, in-person experiences.

The PureWager Pavilion will accommodate up to 300 guests and is expected to serve as both a premium hospitality space and a brand showcase. The operator plans to build visibility through real-time fan interaction, emphasizing engagement over traditional sportsbook expansion in its early US phase.

CEO Elliott Banks described the partnership as a “defining moment,” framing it as part of a broader push into regulated markets. The company aims to expand across US states while maintaining compliance with local regulatory frameworks, positioning itself as a technology-driven operator rather than a pure betting brand.

The move comes at a time when the US sports betting market is both mature and highly competitive, with regulatory complexity and strong incumbents creating barriers to entry. PureWager’s approach suggests a long-term strategy focused on differentiation through experience, partnerships, and localized activation.

For the Orioles, the collaboration adds another layer to the commercialization of the stadium experience—where betting, hospitality, and entertainment increasingly intersect as part of a broader trend in modern sports business.
