Formula 1 Exhibition Returns to Germany with New Munich Showcase

Formula 1 is expanding its global fan engagement strategy with the return of its official exhibition to Germany, this time landing in Munich.

Set to open on May 20 at Pineapple Park, the immersive experience marks the second time the exhibition has visited the country, following a previous stop in Oberhausen. The move comes after its latest international run in Mexico, continuing a global tour that has drawn more than 150,000 visitors since launching in 2023.

Munich was selected for its status as a hub of innovation, technology, finance, and sport—factors that align closely with Formula 1’s positioning as both a sporting and engineering spectacle.

The exhibition will span approximately 3,000 square meters, guiding visitors through a series of themed rooms that explore the championship’s defining stories, pivotal moments, and technical revolutions.

Among the headline attractions are iconic cars such as the Mercedes W02—driven by Michael Schumacher and Nico Rosberg during the 2011 season—and the RB16B, the car in which Max Verstappen secured the first of his four consecutive world titles.

“Alemania has a rich motorsport heritage, and the arrival of Audi to the grid this season further strengthens the sport’s connection with the country,” said Emily Prazer, Chief Commercial Officer of Formula 1.

Jonathan Linden, co-CEO of Round Room Live and producer of the exhibition, also highlighted the importance of German automotive giants such as Mercedes-Benz and Audi, as well as Munich’s infrastructure, in selecting the city as the next destination.

Since its debut in Madrid, the Formula 1 Exhibition has toured major cities including Vienna, London, Amsterdam, Toronto, Buenos Aires, Mexico City, and Melbourne—positioning itself as a key pillar in the sport’s efforts to deepen global fan engagement beyond race weekends.
