LEGO has launched a new “LEGO Editions†collection featuring some of football’s biggest stars, turning Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, Kylian Mbappé and VinÃcius Júnior into minifigure form for the first time.
Released ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, the collection combines football culture with creativity, offering fans a new way to connect with the sport through buildable sets inspired by each player’s career and personality.
The collection includes “Football Highlights†sets, which recreate iconic moments from each player’s journey. These sets are built on letter-shaped bases representing each player’s initial, featuring national team colours, jersey numbers, collectible plaques and a minifigure.
Two larger “Football Legend†sets focus on Ronaldo and Messi, offering more detailed builds with multiple pose options. Ronaldo’s 854-piece model includes his famous “Siuuu†celebration or a bicycle kick pose, while Messi’s 958-piece model allows fans to recreate his signature celebration or a dynamic dribbling scene.
A premium 1,427-piece “Messi Celebration†set completes the collection, designed as a display piece for older builders. The set highlights his iconic number 10 jersey and includes hidden references to key moments from his career.
LEGO said the collection aims to capture the essence of modern football icons while encouraging creativity among fans of all ages. The six sets are now available for pre-order.
