Adidas has announced a key leadership change in its European business, appointing Olivier Gianina as Senior Vice President and General Manager for Southern Europe, effective August 1, 2026.
In his new role, Gianina will oversee the company’s operations across France, Italy, the Iberian Peninsula, and Southeast Europe, one of Adidas’ most strategically important regional markets.
A veteran of the company with more than 20 years at Adidas, Gianina has held senior leadership positions in sales, supply chain, information technology, and business development. His experience spans Latin America, France, and Adidas’ global headquarters in Herzogenaurach, Germany, most recently serving as the head of the company’s Brazil business.
Gianina succeeds Claus-Peter Mayer, who has led Southern Europe since 2023. Mayer will transition to become General Manager of Central Europe on September 1, 2026.
The appointment is part of Adidas’ broader regional leadership reorganization aimed at strengthening its presence and growth across key European markets.
