Adidas has officially revealed the match ball for the 2026 UEFA Women’s Champions League final, set to take place in Oslo this coming May. The Nordic-themed ball will be featured throughout the knockout stages and is scheduled to make its competitive debut during the tournament’s inaugural knockout phase play-offs later this month.
A Visual Tribute to Oslo’s Identity
The design of the ball draws deep inspiration from the host city, Oslo, often referred to as “Tigerstaden” (The Tiger City). It features bold red panels, metallic silver stars, and intricate etched detailing that incorporates traditional Nordic motifs. Adidas has centered the aesthetic around themes of unity and strength, using silver elements designed to resemble protective shields and interlocking armor over a clean white base.
Elite Performance and Advanced Technology
From a technical standpoint, the ball integrates Adidas’ latest elite-level innovations. It features a thermally bonded, seamless construction aimed at providing superior flight consistency and precision control. The final will be held at Norway’s Ullevaal Stadion on May 23, marking the first time the country has hosted a Women’s Champions League final.
