America’s Cup has named Marzio Perrelli as CEO of its newly established governance and commercial entity, the America’s Cup Partnership (ACP), as the competition moves toward a more centralized and long-term strategic structure.
The ACP, created in October 2025, brings together all competing teams under a shared governance and commercial framework designed to stabilize operations, enhance revenue sharing, and expand global fan engagement.
A shift toward structured governance
Perrelli’s appointment signals a deeper push toward institutionalizing the business side of the America’s Cup. The new CEO will be responsible for driving the event forward under a model that emphasizes long-term planning, financial sustainability, and coordinated commercial growth.
Grant Dalton, CEO of Emirates Team New Zealand and the current Cup defender, will remain chairman of the ACP, ensuring continuity between sporting leadership and the new governance structure.
Finance and media expertise at the helm
Perrelli brings a background that blends finance, media, and sports rights management. His career includes senior roles at Goldman Sachs and HSBC, as well as a tenure as executive vice president of sport at Sky Italia between 2018 and 2025.
More recently, he served as a senior advisor at Green Arrow Capital, following previous involvement with major sporting properties such as the Ryder Cup.
Long-term vision for growth
In his first remarks, Perrelli emphasized the importance of governance reform in unlocking future growth:

The ACP is expected to function as a permanent structure overseeing the commercial and organizational aspects of the competition, aligning stakeholders and maximizing the event’s global footprint.
