Arsenal has announced a major shift in the matchday experience at Emirates Stadium, confirming the introduction of safe standing alongside a 3.9 percent average increase in season ticket prices for the 2026-27 season.

The move to safe standing follows a decade of campaigning by the Arsenal Supporters’ Trust (AST). The rollout will begin in the Clock End lower tier for both home and away fans, eventually expanding to the North Bank. By the 2027-28 season, approximately 13,500 supporters will be utilizing these facilities.

Ticket Price Adjustments and New Categories

For the fifth consecutive year, the club has opted for a price hike, citing rising operational costs and the need to remain competitive. Key financial changes include:

• Price Increase: The most expensive adult season ticket will rise from £1,736 to £1,835.
• New Categories: Two new tiers, “B+” (for high-demand games against non-traditional “Big Six” teams) and “A+” (for Champions League knockout stages), will be introduced.
• Concessions: The club confirmed it will protect discounts for younger and senior fans, while continuing to provide 1,000 free tickets to the local community.

The AST expressed disappointment regarding the price rise, noting that while the introduction of safe standing is a victory for fans, the continued “squeezing” of match-going supporters remains a concern amidst record broadcast revenues.
