Athletic Club and telecommunications operator Digi have officially consolidated their alliance by renewing their sponsorship agreement until 2028. The partnership, which began in 2022, ensures that the operator’s logo will continue to feature prominently on the back of the iconic red-and-white jerseys.
While the specific financial terms of the deal remain undisclosed, the renewal marks a significant expansion of Digi’s presence across the club’s various departments.
Expanding Beyond the First Teams
Under the new terms, Digi will not only remain on the kits of the men’s first team in LaLiga and the women’s team in Liga F but will also increase its footprint within the club’s structure. For the first time, the logo will be incorporated into the kits of Bilbao Athletic, currently competing in Primera Federación, and the Athletic Genuine team.
The club highlighted in an official statement that this two-year extension reinforces a “strategic collaboration based on proximity and shared commitment.”
Strengthening Strategic Alliances
The renewal with Digi is part of a broader commercial success story for the Basque club. Since the pandemic, Athletic Club has significantly doubled its commercial business, moving from high-end VIP experiences at San Mamés to major partnerships with brands like Vueling.
By aligning with market leaders like Digi, Athletic Club continues to strengthen its network of partners who value sports as a platform for identity, inclusion, and future growth. This deal ensures that the club remains financially robust while maintaining its unique connection with its global fan base.
