Azul signs five-year sponsorship deal with CBF

Brazilian airline Azul has agreed a new sponsorship deal with the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF), becoming the official airline of all Brazil national teams until 2030.

The agreement, announced on Friday, runs for five years and covers the men’s and women’s senior teams, as well as youth categories, futsal, beach soccer and e-sports.

The partnership comes just ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, strengthening the logistical and commercial support structure around Brazil’s national team programme.

Full national team coverage

As part of the deal, Azul will be responsible for transporting Brazil’s national teams for both sporting and official commitments. The agreement also includes marketing activations, fan engagement campaigns and brand integration across the federation’s platforms.

CBF president Samir Xaud said the partnership addresses a key operational need for the organisation.

He highlighted the importance of working with an airline that has national reach and operational capacity to support the wide-ranging demands of Brazil’s football programmes.

Marketing and fan engagement focus

The deal also includes commercial activations involving Azul employees, customer experiences, and promotional campaigns designed to connect fans more closely with the national team.

Azul CEO John Rodgerson described the partnership as the company’s most significant sports deal to date, emphasising its mission of connecting Brazil through aviation and football.

Change in airline sponsorship landscape

Azul replaces GOL, which previously held the CBF airline partnership between 2013 and 2024. GOL ended its agreement late last year after a period in which the federation also lost several other sponsors.

The new deal marks a reset in the CBF’s commercial portfolio as it prepares for a new international cycle leading into the 2026 World Cup and beyond.
