beIN Media Group, the Qatar-based global sports and entertainment powerhouse, has officially secured the exclusive broadcast rights for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA).
The comprehensive multi-platform deal ensures that fans in 24 countries will have access to the Games through beIN’s linear channels and its premier OTT streaming service, TOD.
A Multi-Event Partnership
The agreement, signed in Milan, extends beyond just the 2028 Summer Games. It solidifies beIN’s role as the “Home of the Olympics” in the region by covering:
- Milano Cortina 2026: The ongoing Winter Olympic Games (running until February 22).
- Dakar 2026: The Summer Youth Olympic Games in Senegal.
- Dolomites and Valtellina 2028: The Winter Youth Olympic Games.
Leadership Perspectives
Yousef Al-Obaidly, CEO of beIN Media Group, emphasized the long-standing 10-year partnership with the IOC, stating that the deal reflects a “long-term commitment to the Games” and an effort to expand the Olympic Movement’s influence in the MENA region.
Kirsty Coventry, the newly elected IOC President (2025), praised beIN’s expertise:
“beIN is a leader in its industry and plays an important role in bringing the Olympic Games to millions of fans across the region.”
