BeIN Sports has secured exclusive Wimbledon broadcasting rights across 10 Asian markets under a new agreement with the All England Lawn Tennis Club (AELTC), expanding its portfolio of premium tennis properties in the region.
The four-edition deal begins with the 2027 Championships and runs through the 2031 tournament. BeIN will hold exclusive rights in Brunei, Cambodia, Timor-Leste, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore and Thailand.
Coverage of every match will be available through BeIN Sports’ linear television channels and the BeIN Sports Connect mobile app. The agreement sees the broadcaster replace SPOTV, owned by Eclat, in most of the 10 markets.
Building a stronger tennis portfolio
The agreement follows BeIN’s renewal of Wimbledon rights across the Middle East and North Africa in June, extending that deal through 2030. The broadcaster has also renewed its French Open rights across MENA and Asia-Pacific through the 2031 edition.
BeIN already holds rights to all four Grand Slam tournaments in MENA: Wimbledon, the French Open, the US Open and the Australian Open. It also broadcasts Wimbledon in France under an agreement running through 2028, having held the rights since 2014.
Beyond tennis, BeIN’s Asia-Pacific portfolio includes major football properties such as the UEFA Champions League and motorsport’s Formula 1.
The latest agreement strengthens BeIN’s position in a competitive sports broadcasting market, where exclusive rights to global events remain a key tool for attracting subscribers and supporting pay-TV and digital streaming distribution.
The 2027 Wimbledon Championships are scheduled to take place from June 28 to July 11.
