Cadillac has officially unveiled its first Formula 1 car design, marking a major milestone ahead of its 2026 debut. The American team presented a provisional “testing livery” that will be used during upcoming private sessions.
Key Details of the Debut:
The Design: For the pre-season tests at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, the car features a sleek, monochromatic all-black body. This “camouflage” style is intended to hide sensitive aerodynamic developments from competitors.
The Grid: Cadillac will join as the 11th team on the grid, coinciding with the FIA’s new technical regulations for 2026.
The Drivers: F1 veterans Sergio Pérez and Valtteri Bottas will lead the testing program, beginning their adaptation to the new technical era.
The Big Reveal: While this black design is temporary, the official race livery will be launched on February 8 during the Super Bowl, a strategic move to maximize its impact in the U.S. market.
