Coca-Cola has been announced as the official soft drinks partner of the upcoming Commonwealth Games 2026 in Glasgow.

As part of the agreement, Coca-Cola will also act as an official partner of Team Scotland, strengthening its presence at one of the world’s major multi-sport events.

The partnership will see a range of the company’s beverages—including Coca-Cola Zero Sugar, Powerade, and Smartwater—supplied throughout the Games, which are set to begin in late July.

Coca-Cola returns to the Commonwealth Games sponsorship portfolio after previously serving as the official soft drink provider at the Commonwealth Games 2022.

Phil Batty, chief executive of Glasgow 2026, welcomed the partnership, highlighting Coca-Cola’s global experience in enhancing fan engagement at major sporting events while also supporting sustainability initiatives aligned with the event’s ambition to deliver a greener Games.

The Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games will take place from July 23 to August 2, featuring a streamlined program of 10 sports and six para sports. The event was initially awarded to Victoria, Australia, but was relocated to Glasgow following financial challenges faced by the original host.

Commercially, the organizing committee has been active in recent months, securing partnerships with BYD as the official car partner, alongside several other sponsors. Coca-Cola joins the roster as a second-tier official partner, working alongside brands such as BYD, Trespass, Trivandi, CMS, and Allwyn, all supporting the delivery of the Games beneath principal partner and official timekeeper Longines
