DAZN Launches ‘Playmakers’ Program to Build Global Network of Sports Content Creators

DAZN has launched a new initiative called “Playmakers,” aiming to create a worldwide network of sports influencers and content creators while strengthening its presence across social media and digital platforms.

The program is designed to attract, support, and monetize digital talent, positioning content creators as a central component of DAZN’s broader content and engagement strategy. By building a structured ecosystem, the company seeks to leverage the growing influence of creator-led sports media, which continues to outperform traditional brand content in both reach and consumer trust.

In its initial phase, Playmakers will integrate selected creators into DAZN’s major rights properties and campaigns. The platform plans to transition the initiative into a more structured, ongoing model with incentives, including access to platform resources, memberships, merchandise, and live events.

According to DAZN’s Chief Marketing Officer Adam Knapp, the goal is to establish DAZN as a central hub for sports creators globally, enabling them to expand their audiences and distribute content on a larger scale. The company also emphasized its ambition to build one of the largest and most trusted creator communities across all sports.

The move reflects a broader industry trend in which sports media platforms are increasingly collaborating with independent creators to enhance engagement, diversify content output, and connect with younger, digitally native audiences.
