The Football Association of Ireland (FAI) has strengthened its commercial portfolio by renewing its partnership with DHL Express Ireland. The new four-year deal extends DHL’s role as the Official Logistics Partner, continuing a relationship that began in the mid-1990s.
As one of the most enduring sponsorships in Irish sport, DHL will provide critical logistical support for the Ireland Men’s and Women’s Senior Teams, as well as all international youth squads.
Supporting Grassroots and Schools
Beyond elite international logistics, the partnership remains a cornerstone of the FAI’s grassroots strategy. DHL will continue to lead the “Me & My Ball” initiative within the FAI’s Football in Schools programme.
This scheme ensures the distribution of free footballs to every primary school across Ireland, aiming to boost participation and bridge the gap between schools and local football clubs.
A Commitment to Performance and Community
Brian Murray, Commercial & Same Day Director at DHL Express Ireland, noted that the renewal reflects a deep-rooted commitment to the sport. “As a logistics partner we know the value of teamwork, reliability and performance – qualities we are proud to support on and off the pitch,” Murray stated.
FAI Commercial Director Sean Kavanagh added that DHL plays a “vital role” in ensuring kits and equipment reach international teams anywhere in the world, providing the association with essential operational certainty.
Commercial Momentum
The extension is the latest in a string of successful commercial moves for the FAI, following recent agreements with Aviva Ireland and Club Ireland. These deals signal a period of commercial stability as the association prepares for major upcoming qualification campaigns.
