Fluminense Football Club has officially announced the renewal and expansion of its sponsorship deal with Superbet, the club’s main shirt sponsor. The new agreement extends the partnership through the end of 2029 and significantly bolsters the club’s commercial revenue.
The deal, which represents a 76% increase in total potential value compared to the previous contract, solidifies Fluminense’s position among the top five most valuable master sponsorships in Brazilian football.
The Financials
- Annual Value: The club can earn up to R$ 86 million (approximately €16.3 million) per season.
- Structure: The agreement consists of R$ 53 million in fixed payments plus R$ 33 million in performance-based bonuses, tied to sports and commercial targets.
- Total Potential: If all milestones are met over the four-year term, the total value of the deal could reach R$ 344 million.
Strategic Expansion on the Kit
Under the expanded terms, Superbet is increasing its physical footprint on the club’s branding assets:
- Front-of-Shirt: Superbet retains its position as the main master sponsor on the front of the shirt.
- Upper Back: The brand will now also occupy the prime real estate on the upper back of the kits used for matches, training sessions, and warm-ups.
- Debut: The new kit design, featuring the branding on the upper back, officially debuted during the Campeonato Carioca final against Flamengo this past Sunday.
A Commitment to Long-Term Growth
Fluminense President Mattheus Montenegro highlighted that the extension is a vote of confidence in the club’s current trajectory. “The expansion of the collaboration with Superbet reflects not only the recognition of the work done at the club in recent years but also transmits confidence in a promising future,” said Montenegro.
For Superbet, the deal reinforces its commitment to the Brazilian market. Alex Fonseca, Executive Director of Superbet in Brazil, added: “Our goal remains to build a long-term relationship based on trust, responsibility, and a strategic vision for the development of Brazilian sport.”
