The French Football Federation has agreed a partnership with Google that positions the US-based group as the official technology partner of the French national team, effective from the next international window.
The agreement is structured around three of Google’s core products and services, with each designed to be embedded into the federation’s operations.
The first element is artificial intelligence. Gemini will be used as the official AI assistant of the national team, supporting internal communications and content production across the federation’s digital platforms.
The second focuses on content creation. Google Pixel devices will be supplied to the federation’s media and social teams, with a focus on producing behind-the-scenes footage and matchday content. The partnership also activates Google’s “Shot on Pixel†programme.
The third component relates to distribution. Google Search will be used to surface match information, highlights and key moments from the national team directly within search results, increasing visibility and accessibility for fans.
For the French federation, the partnership is part of a wider strategy to strengthen the global reach of the national team and to modernise how content is produced and distributed.
“Solutions offered by Google will help bring the national team closer to its supporters through new immersive experiences and personalised content,†said federation president Philippe Diallo.
Google has already begun expanding its footprint in French football, including a commercial partnership with Paris FC earlier in the 2025–26 season, where it became a prominent sponsor.
The deal reflects a broader trend in elite sport, where governing bodies are increasingly aligning with technology companies to integrate data, AI and content production more deeply into their structures.
