PACIFIC PALISADES, CA – On February 17, 2026, ahead of the historic 100th playing of the tournament, Genesis and the PGA Tour announced a major title sponsorship extension that will keep the Korean luxury brand at the helm of the Genesis Invitational through 2030.

The announcement was made during a signing ceremony at The Riviera Country Club featuring Hyundai Motor Group Executive Chair Euisun Chung, PGA Tour CEO Brian Rolapp, and tournament host Tiger Woods.

A Century of Golf at Riviera

The 2026 edition of the Genesis Invitational is a landmark event, celebrating 100 years since its debut as the Los Angeles Open in 1926. This year also marks a poignant homecoming for the tournament, as it returns to The Riviera Country Club after being forced to relocate to San Diego in 2025 following the devastating Southern California wildfires.

Highlights of the Extended Partnership

The new agreement solidifies Genesis’s role as one of the PGA Tour’s most committed global partners:

  • The “Signature” Status: The tournament remains a PGA Tour Signature Event, featuring a limited, elite field of 72 players and an elevated $20 million purse.
  • Global Synergy: The extension follows a June 2025 deal that named Genesis the “Global Official Vehicle” of both the PGA Tour and PGA Tour Champions.
  • Prize for the Champion: The 2026 winner will not only receive a $4 million check (700 FedExCup points) but will also drive home a custom 2026 GV80 Coupe Prestige Black.
  • Philanthropic Focus: This year’s proceeds are dedicated to the California Rises initiative, supporting long-term recovery efforts for the Los Angeles community via Habitat for Humanity and the LA Fire Department Foundation.

“Together with Genesis, we have found new ways to elevate this tournament over the past decade,” said Tiger Woods. “We are grateful for their continued partnership and support of the tournament and TGR Foundation.”
