MUNICH, Germany — FC Bayern Women and Hitachi Energy have officially launched a long-term strategic partnership, naming the global technology leader as an official sponsor. The agreement, set for a five-year term, marks a significant expansion in the commercial portfolio of the German champions.
Starting in the second half of the 2025/26 season, the Hitachi brand will gain prominent visibility on the sleeve of the team’s jerseys during UEFA Women’s Champions League and Women’s DFB Pokal fixtures.
A Shared Vision for the Future
The collaboration, themed “Shape the Future,” bridges the gap between elite sporting excellence and the global energy transition. Hitachi Energy, a leader in electrification and power transmission, aims to use the platform to highlight the critical role of secure, sustainable electricity in modern society.
“This partnership reflects our shared commitment to inspiring society,” said Andreas Schierenbeck, CEO of Hitachi Energy. “FC Bayern Women embody performance, discipline, and strong values—principles that drive progress in both sport and technology.”
Strategic Growth for FC Bayern
For FC Bayern, the deal represents the increasing international relevance of their women’s side, which has secured three Bundesliga titles in the last four seasons.
Jan-Christian Dreesen, CEO of FC Bayern, described the long-term agreement as an “important milestone” and a “recognition” of the team’s status as role models. The partnership will extend beyond the pitch, featuring:
- Joint storytelling and digital communication campaigns.
- Matchday activations for fans.
- A focus on social responsibility and societal transformation.
The partnership will reach its first major sporting milestone in April 2026, when FC Bayern Women host the second leg of the UEFA Women’s Champions League quarter-final at the Allianz Arena.
