LaLiga has officially launched the tender for its media rights in the Nordic region, covering Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, and Sweden. The new broadcast cycle will span five seasons, from 2026-27 to 2030-31.
The tender is divided into four distinct packages (A, B, C, and D) to attract both pay-TV and free-to-air broadcasters:
- Package A: Exclusive rights to all matches and the LaLigaTV Channel.
- Package B: Five matches per round plus highlights and archive content.
- Package C & D: A split of the remaining fixtures, with each package including rights to one of the two El Clásico matches per season.
The deadline for interested broadcasters to submit their bids is March 3, 2026, with the winning bidders expected to be announced on March 10.
Currently, LaLiga rights in the region are held by TV2 (Denmark and Norway), Telia (Sweden and Finland), and Livey (Iceland). The league continues to see high demand in these markets due to the presence of prominent Nordic stars like Alexander Sørloth (Atletico Madrid), Andreas Christensen (Barcelona), and Roony Bardghji (Barcelona).
