The Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games has already sold more than four million tickets during its initial sales phase, setting a strong early commercial benchmark for the upcoming event.
According to organizers, ticket sales began with a presale for residents of Los Angeles and Oklahoma in early April, followed by a global release on April 9. The first phase concluded on April 19.
Demand was particularly strong for lower-priced tickets, with 95% of all tickets under $100 sold during the local presale period. Around 500,000 tickets priced at $28 were purchased by local fans alone, highlighting strong domestic engagement ahead of the Games.
International demand also proved significant, with tickets sold across 85 countries and all 50 US states and territories. The strongest overseas markets included the United Kingdom, Canada, Mexico and Japan.
Gender-based ticket data showed particularly high interest in women’s events, which outperformed men’s sessions in overall sales during the first phase.
The early success of the ticketing rollout positions the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games as one of the most commercially active Olympic cycles at this stage, reflecting both global anticipation and strong pricing accessibility strategies.
