Manchester City Swaps Gatorade for Lucozade in Major Sports Drink Pivot

Manchester City has officially announced Lucozade as the club’s new Official Sports Drink Partner, marking the end of its long-standing eight-year association with PepsiCo-owned Gatorade.

A New Era for Hydration at the Etihad

The multi-year agreement integrates Lucozade into the daily operations of the entire City Football Group (CFG) ecosystem in Manchester. Key details of the deal include:

  • Comprehensive Coverage: Lucozade products will be exclusive to the Men’s, Women’s, and Academy teams.
  • Infrastructure & Training: Branded player bottles, ice coolers, and hydration products will be utilized at the Etihad Stadium, Joie Stadium, and the City Football Academy.
  • High-Impact Branding: Fans will see Lucozade branding prominently featured on matchdays via digital LED advertising displays throughout the season.

Strategic Performance Partnership

Kaitlyn Beale, VP of Global Partnership Sales at City Football Group, emphasized that Lucozade’s reputation for performance and innovation makes it a “natural fit.” The partnership aims to support the club’s elite performance environment as they pursue further domestic and international silverware.

Lucozade now joins an elite roster of Manchester City sponsors, sitting alongside global giants like Etihad Airways, Puma, OKX, and Asahi.
