Manchester City is set to open a new premium hospitality venue, “Zadie’s,” inside the Etihad Stadium ahead of the 2026–27 season, as the club continues to expand its commercial footprint beyond matchday football.
The new concept will sit at the top of the expanded North Stand and is designed as a high-end restaurant and bar space with capacity for 288 guests on matchdays. The venue will offer pan-Asian cuisine alongside a curated cocktail programme, positioning itself as a luxury pre- and post-match destination.
Branded as “Matchday at Zadie’s,” the experience is part of Manchester City’s broader strategy to turn the Etihad campus into a year-round entertainment and hospitality hub. The club described the project as a “new era of hospitality and entertainment,” blending fine dining with live match atmosphere.
The venue will be led by restaurateur Laura Montana, known for projects such as Sexy Fish in London and Monkey Bar in New York, alongside head chef Paolo Bianchi and bar director Cressida Lawlor. The concept leans heavily into experiential dining, with an emphasis on design, detail and global culinary influence.
The opening of Zadie’s follows a wider redevelopment of the Etihad Stadium infrastructure. The North Stand expansion was topped out in 2025 and is expected to be completed during the current season, increasing the stadium’s capacity to around 52,900.
The hospitality push also aligns with a broader property and leisure strategy around the stadium footprint. Manchester City is preparing to open The Medlock, a Radisson Blu hotel operated by Valor Hospitality, further integrating accommodation, dining and matchday experiences into a single destination.
Taken together, these projects reflect a clear trend in elite football: stadiums evolving from match venues into multi-purpose entertainment districts, where hospitality and lifestyle revenue streams are becoming as strategically important as the football itself.
