McLaren Racing Switches to Puma

McLaren Racing has officially announced a landmark multi-year partnership with German sportswear giant Puma, which will become the team’s official technical partner starting in the 2026 season. Puma will replace the British brand Castore as the supplier for the “Papaya” team.

A Strategic Move for the World Champions

McLaren, the reigning F1 Driver and Constructor World Champion, joins an elite list of teams already partnered with Puma, including Ferrari, Aston Martin, Williams, and Audi (Sauber). This move aligns McLaren with the broader Formula 1 organization, which also uses Puma as its technical provider.

Comprehensive Coverage

The agreement is not limited to Formula 1. The partnership will extend across the entire McLaren Racing family:

  • Arrow McLaren IndyCar team.
  • F1 Academy participations.
  • McLaren F1 Sim Racing.
  • McLaren United AS WEC Hypercar (starting in 2027).

Leadership Perspectives

Zak Brown, CEO of McLaren Racing, highlighted the importance of the lifestyle connection: “Our sport is in an incredible moment. Puma’s innovative approach to design and culture will offer exciting collections and experiences for our growing global fanbase.”
