The organizing committee for the Milan-Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games announced on February 14, 2026, that ticket sales have reached a significant milestone. At the midpoint of the Olympic Games, 1.27 million tickets have been sold, representing an impressive 85% occupancy rate of the total available inventory.
The highest demand has been recorded in Bormio, the venue for alpine skiing and ski mountaineering, with an occupancy rate of 94.5%. Notably, ski mountaineering has emerged as the most popular discipline, officially reaching a complete sell-out. Other high-performing venues include Milan (90%) and Antholz-Anterselva (88.7%).
In terms of specific sports, speed skating (94%), ski jumping (90%), and luge (87%) follow closely behind the sold-out ski mountaineering events. These figures highlight a strong public interest in the first Winter Games to be held in Italy since Turin 2006.
