MotoGP appoints CAA Sports to drive global sponsorship growth

MotoGP has appointed CAA Sports as its new global sponsorship agency as the championship looks to expand its commercial footprint and unlock new revenue opportunities around the world.

Under the agreement, CAA Sports will work alongside MotoGP to secure new partnerships across international markets and emerging product categories. The agency has been tasked with increasing global brand exposure and driving demand for integrated sponsorship packages linked to the championship.

MotoGP Group chief executive Carmelo Ezpeleta described the partnership as an important milestone in the series’ commercial strategy.

“This partnership marks a key step in delivering our commercial strategy, building on the strength of what we have already created and taking it to the next level,” Ezpeleta said.

“MotoGP already offers partners a powerful global platform and, with CAA — the best in the business — we are in a strong position to unlock even greater value, attract new categories and deepen our relationships with brands worldwide.”

CAA Sports chief executive and managing director Paul Danforth said MotoGP’s international momentum presents a compelling proposition for brands.

“MotoGP is a premium global sports platform with a loyal and highly engaged fanbase,” Danforth said.

“The championship’s rapidly growing international profile offers brands a unique opportunity to connect with audiences through world-class competition, premium events and year-round content. We are excited to work alongside the MotoGP team to help accelerate the next phase of its commercial growth.”

MotoGP says it reaches more than 650 million fans worldwide and currently stages 22 races across 19 territories.

Untapped sponsorship inventory remains on the calendar

The championship’s top-tier commercial portfolio already includes global brands such as Qatar Airways, Tissot, Michelin, BMW M, Estrella Galicia 0,0 and DHL.

Estrella Galicia, Qatar Airways, Tissot and Michelin serve as title sponsors for selected Grands Prix, while BMW provides the official safety cars and DHL operates as MotoGP’s logistics partner.

Additional race title sponsors include Red Bull, Monster Energy, Pertamina, Petronas, PT, Brembo, Motul, Repsol and Liqui Moly.

However, four events on the 2026 calendar — Australia, Austria, Hungary and Aragon — currently remain without title sponsors, creating immediate commercial opportunities that CAA Sports could target as part of its new mandate.

After nine rounds of the 2026 season, Aprilia Racing rider Marco Bezzecchi leads the riders’ standings, while Aprilia tops both the teams’ and constructors’ championships.
