Motorola’s Global Push for World Cup 2026

Motorola Football is Calling global campaign for FIFA World Cup 2026.

As the official smartphone partner of the FIFA World Cup 2026, Motorola has unveiled its first major global activation titled “Football is Calling.”

The campaign positions Motorola devices not just as hardware, but as essential tools for fans to capture, share, and experience the tournament’s most vital moments. Leveraging the massive digital engagement seen in previous World Cups—billions of social media interactions—the brand aims to integrate its technology into the fan’s daily routine during the event.

Key Highlights of the Campaign
Fan-Centric Narrative: The strategy focuses on the “fan version” of consumers, showing how they transition from their everyday lives to tournament mode.

The Hero Film: Developed with agency Matter + Energy, the campaign video follows the entire fan journey—from purchasing tickets to post-match celebrations.

Beyond the 90 Minutes: Motorola aims to demonstrate that smartphones are crucial facilitators of sports entertainment well before and after the whistle blows.

“We wanted to bring the spirit of the World Cup closer to the fans, putting both people and technology at the center of the experience,” said Ruben Castano, Motorola’s VP of Design, Brand, and Customer Experience.

Global Rollout
The “Football is Calling” media plan includes heavy investment in social media, digital platforms, and retail activations. Fans can expect hands-on product experiences as the countdown begins for the tournament, which kicks off on June 11, 2026, across the US, Canada, and Mexico.
