NCAA Men’s Final Four Ticket Prices Soar as Demand Hits Record Levels

Demand for the 2026 NCAA Men’s Final Four is skyrocketing, with ticket prices climbing sharply on the secondary market as fans rush to secure seats for one of college basketball’s biggest weekends.

According to SeatGeek, demand for the semifinal games is up nearly 45% compared to the same period last year — and momentum is still building ahead of Saturday’s matchups.

This year’s Final Four, held at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, features a compelling lineup: UConn Huskies vs. Illinois Fighting Illini, followed by Michigan Wolverines against Arizona Wildcats.

Resale Prices Break the $1,000 Barrier

As of early this week, the average resale price for Final Four tickets has surpassed $1,000, a sharp increase from $717 in 2025.

The “get-in” price — the cheapest available ticket — is currently hovering around $675, reflecting the intense demand for access to the semifinals.

Chris Leyden, Senior Director of Marketing at SeatGeek, highlighted the unique dynamics behind this year’s surge:

“The Final Four is always one of the most electric weekends in college sports, and this year’s matchup in Indianapolis is already generating extraordinary demand.”

A significant portion of buyers are coming from Illinois (40%), followed by Indiana (10%) and Michigan (7%), underscoring the regional pull of the participating teams.

Fan Bases Driving the Market

Data from TickPick reveals that Illinois and Arizona fans alone account for nearly 40% of all ticket purchases since the semifinal matchups were confirmed.

Long championship droughts are also playing a critical role in fueling demand. Both fan bases are returning to the Final Four stage after extended absences, creating a surge in willingness to pay premium prices.

Historically, such droughts have translated into higher ticket prices — and 2026 is proving no exception.

Record Transactions and Market Trends

On TickPick, the average purchase price for a semifinal ticket has reached $711 — making it the most expensive Final Four semifinal on record for the platform.

Before the tournament began, that figure stood at $624, highlighting how demand has intensified deep into March Madness.

At the top end of the market, premium seating has reached extraordinary levels. The most expensive recorded purchase so far: three tickets priced at $7,859 each, totaling $23,576 for seats inside Lucas Oil Stadium.

With powerhouse programs, regional fan intensity, and long-awaited returns converging, the 2026 Final Four is shaping up to be one of the hottest — and most expensive — tickets in college basketball history.
