Wimbledon Broadcast Services (WBS) has signed a new multi-year agreement with NEP Europe, extending the company’s role as the provider of broadcast technical services for The Championships, Wimbledon.
The renewed partnership coincides with NEP Europe’s delivery of host broadcast services for the 2026 Wimbledon Championships at the All England Lawn Tennis Club.
For the 2026 tournament, NEP Europe has expanded its IP-based broadcast infrastructure across the venue, supporting coverage through outside broadcast units, production galleries, automated courts and media management systems.
The production setup includes:
- More than 150 cameras
- 32 replay servers
- UHD HDR production workflows
- More than 350 NEP personnel working across the Championships, including coverage of the Wimbledon qualifying tournament in Roehampton
Advanced camera technology enhances coverage
The 2026 production also features NEP’s Tr-ACE robotic camera system, which provides automated coverage across multiple courts through a centralized operating model.
Meanwhile, Centre Court and No. 1 Court are equipped with the company’s Nucleus camera system, enabling 4K super slow-motion coverage.
In addition, Creative Technology, part of the NEP Group, is supplying 74 LED displays throughout the grounds—including fan areas such as Henman Hill—along with live content production services.
