Netto Named Official Nutrition Partner of German National Basketball Teams

German retail giant Netto Marken-Discount has officially signed a long-term cooperation agreement with the German Basketball Federation (DBB). Effective immediately, Netto becomes the “Official Nutrition Partner” for all men’s, women’s, and youth national teams.

Promoting an Active Lifestyle

The partnership focuses on the synergy between professional sports and conscious everyday nutrition. Netto plans to activate the sponsorship through:

Strategic Timing

The deal kicks off during a historic year for German basketball, as Berlin prepares to host the 2026 FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup. DBB President Ingo Weiss welcomed the partnership, stating that Netto’s retail power will significantly bolster the federation’s reach.
