NEW YORK The NHL has officially added the United States Postal Service (USPS) as its newest regional partner. Serving as the league’s official shipping sponsor, the 250-year-old institution will integrate its services into the NHLs major events and digital landscape.
Fan Engagement and Content
The partnership focuses heavily on interactive fan experiences and digital media:
- Stadium Series Activation: At the upcoming 2026 Stadium Series in Tampa, USPS will host a hockey skills activity and a unique photobooth where fans can create and mail personalized postcards directly from the venue.
- Original Content: The two organizations will co-produce original content to be distributed across their respective social and digital platforms.
- Marketing Rights: USPS gains exclusive marketing designations and rights to use NHL marks across its branding.
Commercial Momentum
This deal arrives during a period of significant commercial growth for the NHL. The league has recently expanded its portfolio into new sectors, including:
- Prediction Markets: Recent deals with Polymarket and Kalshi.
- Global Presence: The opening of a new European headquarters in Switzerland and a surge in international broadcast deals, including a landmark free-to-air agreement with Australias Nine Network.
Olympic Break Looming
The partnership comes as the league prepares for a scheduled break from February 6 to 24 to allow players to participate in the 2026 Winter Olympic Games for the first time in over a decade.
USPS is one of the most iconic American institutions, said Jason Jazayeri, NHL VP of Business Development. We are excited to create powerful experiences together for the fans of both brands.
