Nike Signs Apparel Deal With PLL and WLL as Lacrosse Push Accelerates

Nike has signed a major apparel partnership with North America’s Premier Lacrosse League and Women’s Lacrosse League, strengthening its presence in one of the fastest-growing field sports.

Under the agreement, Nike becomes the official apparel partner of both leagues from the 2026 season onwards, responsible for designing and producing all on-field uniforms, sideline apparel, and select fan merchandise.

The deal marks a full kit overhaul across both competitions. Ahead of the new season, Nike will work with the leagues to redesign team jerseys and launch a refreshed visual identity across the PLL and WLL.

The PLL season runs from May 8 to August 16, while the WLL campaign begins on May 15 and also concludes on August 16, aligning both leagues into a shared summer window.

Paul Rabil, co-founder and president of the PLL and WLL, said the partnership represents a defining moment for the sport’s evolution and visibility, adding that Nike has long shaped how sport is culturally presented.

Nike, meanwhile, continues to expand its influence across global sport. The company has recently pursued deeper involvement in football and field sports, including talks linked to UEFA competitions and new kit partnerships in rugby and cricket.

Todd Jacobs, general manager of Nike Field Sports, said the collaboration reflects growing momentum around lacrosse in North America and supports the sport’s continued expansion.

The agreement also arrives at a strategic moment for the sport, with lacrosse set to return to the Olympic stage at the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics, increasing global attention on both leagues.

Broadcasting support has also grown significantly in recent years. ESPN holds extensive media rights for both leagues, including live coverage of regular season games, playoffs, and championship events.

The WLL, launched in 2025, continues to expand its profile with a condensed Olympic-style format, while the PLL, established in 2019, has rapidly grown into the premier professional lacrosse property in the United States.

With Nike now fully integrated into both leagues’ visual identity, the partnership is expected to accelerate commercial growth, merchandising reach, and global recognition for the sport heading into the Olympic cycle.
