The Ottawa Senators and Bell Media have agreed to a long-term extension of their regional broadcast partnership, ensuring continued coverage of the team’s games across multiple platforms.
Under the renewed agreement, Senators regional games will remain available on TSN and RDS, with English and French-language broadcasts continuing to serve audiences across the team’s designated market.
Multi-platform regional coverage
As part of the deal, TSN Radio 1200 will continue as the exclusive English-language radio partner of the franchise, providing live game commentary along with analysis and team-related programming.
The broadcasts will be accessible within the Senators’ regional territory, which includes Eastern Ontario, Québec, and Atlantic Canada, and will also be available via digital streaming platforms tied to Bell Media’s network.
Part of a broader NHL media landscape
The agreement aligns with broader broadcast structures across the league, where regional rights are typically managed locally while national rights are centralized. In Canada, national NHL media rights are held by Rogers Communications under a long-term agreement.
Bell Media also maintains regional broadcast partnerships with other NHL franchises, reinforcing its position as a key distribution partner within the league’s media ecosystem.
League context and schedule changes
The renewal comes as the NHL prepares for structural changes to its calendar. Starting from the 2026–27 season, teams will play an additional two regular-season games, increasing the total to 84 games, as part of a new collective bargaining agreement that also reduces preseason length and emphasizes divisional matchups.
