Paris FC has announced a major organizational milestone, formally integrating its women’s section into the club’s professional entity, the SASP (Société Anonyme Sportive Professionnelle). This move consolidates the club’s football operations under a single structure, signaling a significant step forward in the professionalism, financial integration, and strategic ambition of the women’s team.
Correcting an “Accounting Anomaly”
The transition, highlighted by a €3.6 million figure in recent business filings, is not a traditional “sale.” According to club management, this amount represents the historical investment made by the Paris FC association into the women’s section, which the SASP will now assume.
Jean-Marc Gallot, Director General of Paris FC, clarified the move in a statement to Sportune: “We have just corrected an accounting organization anomaly by repatriating the women’s team into the SASP. If there is one clear signal being sent with this internal transfer, it is that we are strengthening the mixity of Paris FC—boys and girls—more than ever.”
Ambition: A European Powerhouse
Already established as a formidable force in the French league—consistently ranking as a top-tier contender behind the Paris Saint-Germain and Olympique Lyonnais—the Paris FC women’s team is now being positioned for greater heights.
- European Focus: While the men’s side is focused on progressing in the domestic elite, the women’s team is already a regular fixture on the European stage. The club has set an ambitious target: to be a genuine contender for the UEFA Women’s Champions League title within the next ten years.
- New Ownership Synergy: This strategic shift is backed by the club’s high-profile ownership group, led by the Arnault family and supported by Red Bull. This partnership is providing the club with the financial muscle and management expertise needed to accelerate development.
- Open to Investment: While the club maintains that the women’s and men’s sections will never be separated, management has signaled openness to external investors who share the vision of fast-tracking the growth of the women’s side.
A New Chapter for Parisian Football
This integration is part of a broader strategy to transform Paris FC into a major competitor in both domestic and European football. By harmonizing operations, infrastructure, and investment, the club aims to build a sustainable, elite-level project that bridges the gap between traditional Parisian football and the modern, professional landscape of European sports.
