Penalty, the Brazilian sportswear brand, has renewed its exclusive agreement as the official ball supplier for the Uruguayan Primera División (Campeonato Uruguayo), with the contract extended through the end of 2026.
The renewal solidifies Penalty’s presence in South American football. The Mag11a, Penalty’s latest professional match ball, will serve as the official ball for the competition this season.
The Mag11a features several proprietary technologies: the Air Control bladder retains air up to six times longer than conventional models; the Orbi X winding ensures sphericity and stability; the Sense layer reduces impact and enhances comfort; the Aeroflow construction improves aerodynamics for more precise trajectories; and Termotec treatment prevents water absorption to maintain consistent performance in wet conditions.
Thiago Klitzke, Export Manager at Penalty, stated:
“The Mag11a was developed through collaboration between athletes, specialists, and our development team. Expanding Penalty’s presence in South America with a ball of this level is part of our vision to strengthen football on the continent through Brazilian innovation.”
The Mag11a, which carries FIFA Quality Pro certification, replaced the previous model mid-season starting from matchday 6 of the 2026 campaign. It had already been introduced earlier in the year following the Supercopa Uruguaya.
This agreement continues Penalty’s supply to the Uruguayan league, following the transition from previous suppliers.
