The Professional Fighters League has strengthened its global broadcast footprint with a new exclusive rights agreement with Sky New Zealand for the 2026 season.
Under the deal, Sky NZ will become the sole broadcaster of all 16 PFL Global events, marking a full-scale return of the promotion to the New Zealand market and reinforcing its broader international expansion strategy.
The partnership officially spans the 2026 calendar year, with early activation already underway following the PFL Madrid event in March. The next scheduled broadcast is PFL Chicago, headlined by a bantamweight matchup between former Bellator champion Sergio Pettis and Mitch McKee.
A key driver behind the agreement is the PFL’s increased focus on the Asia-Pacific talent pipeline, with fighters from New Zealand, Australia, and the Pacific Islands playing a growing role in the roster. One standout name is Jay-Jay Wilson, whose regional profile has helped build domestic interest in the league.
The deal is part of a wider global “walled garden†strategy, with the PFL locking in regional broadcast and streaming partners across multiple territories, including Asia, Europe, and the Americas. The league has also expanded its data and betting integration through a separate agreement with Sportradar, aiming to deepen fan engagement through live odds and real-time analytics.
For Sky NZ, the partnership adds another premium combat sports property to its portfolio, reinforcing its positioning as a key destination for international MMA content in the region.
