New Zealand Rugby League has secured long-term commercial stability after confirming a four-year extension of its partnership with Pirtek, keeping the company as principal partner through 2030.

The renewal extends one of the most enduring sponsorship relationships in Southern Hemisphere sport, with Pirtek’s association with the governing body stretching back to 2008.

The timing of the deal adds further significance, coming ahead of a Rugby League World Cup cycle and providing the New Zealand Kiwis with strengthened financial backing during a key international window.

NZRL chief executive Greg Peters highlighted the long-term trust between both organisations, noting nearly two decades of continuous collaboration across elite and grassroots levels.

Pirtek New Zealand CEO Chris Bourke emphasized the brand’s deep integration into the sport, describing its partnership as part of a broader commitment to rugby league development in the country.

Beyond elite competition, the agreement continues to support grassroots initiatives, including junior pathways, volunteer recognition programs, and jersey sponsorship across national age-grade teams.

Pirtek will also retain prominent front-of-jersey branding for the Kiwis, ensuring high visibility during international tournaments and broadcast windows.
