Paris Saint-Germain, Nike, and British designer Courtney McWilliams have unveiled a limited-edition capsule collection that blurs the lines between professional sports apparel and high-concept streetwear. The collection will be available from March 4 through March 15 at the Nike Lab in the Marais district of Paris.
The “Nike Re-Creation” Philosophy
The collaboration is part of the Nike Re-Creation initiative—a program dedicated to local creative partnerships that breathe new life into existing, unused, or surplus materials. Based in Paris for over 15 years, McWilliams has utilized her expertise to “deconstruct and reassemble” vintage jerseys and past PSG kits into entirely new silhouettes.
- Design Aesthetic: The resulting pieces draw heavy inspiration from gothic references and youth subcultures, creating a stark, high-fashion contrast to traditional club merchandising.
- Local Craftsmanship: True to the “Re-Creation” mission, the textile transformation was executed locally at the LeLabPlus workshop in Ivry-sur-Seine.
- Exclusivity: Due to the manual nature of the deconstruction process, each piece in the capsule is produced in strictly limited quantities.
Star-Studded Campaign
To highlight the collection’s unique aesthetic, PSG has enlisted three key athletes for the campaign: French international Sakina Karchaoui, defender Elisa De Almeida, and midfielder Senny Mayulu. By featuring active first-team players alongside avant-garde fashion, PSG continues to solidify its reputation as a lifestyle brand that transcends the boundaries of the pitch.
