Paris Saint-Germain has officially launched the “Ici C’est Paris Music Lab,†a pioneering three-day music production residency hosted inside the iconic Parc des Princes from February 27 to March 1, 2026. By converting six hospitality suites into temporary recording studios, PSG becomes the first football club to host a dedicated songwriting camp within its stadium infrastructure.
The initiative brings together a diverse group of French and international artists across genres such as Rap, R&B, Electronic, and House to build a unique audio identity for the club.
1. Stadium as Creative Infrastructure
PSG is redefining the utility of its stadium beyond the 90-minute matchday window:
- Repurposing Assets: Six executive boxes have been equipped with professional audio gear to host dozens of creators.
- The Goal: The residency aims to produce an original mixtape that will define the club’s audio brand and enhance the matchday atmosphere at the Parc des Princes.
- Inclusivity: Alongside established stars, three emerging artists were selected through an open application process to participate in the residency.
2. Strategic Brand Positioning
This move solidifies PSG’s reputation as a global lifestyle brand rather than just a sports team.
- Original IP: By creating its own music, PSG reduces reliance on licensed tracks and builds a proprietary “soundtrack” for its content ecosystem.
- Industry Giants: The project is backed by high-profile partners including Universal Music Publishing Group, Les Inrockuptibles, and Radio Nova, ensuring professional-grade output and cultural relevance.
3. A First in Football History
According to the club, this is the first songwriting camp ever organized inside a football stadium. It follows PSG’s history of high-fashion collaborations and urban culture initiatives, further bridging the gap between football, art, and the music industry.
