Puma SE has appointed Dennis Tao as the new chair of its Supervisory Board, marking a significant governance change following the sale of Artémis SAS’s stake in the German sportswear company to Anta Sports Products Limited.
The appointment was confirmed at an extraordinary Supervisory Board meeting, where Jeanne Huang was also elected as a new member.
Tao succeeds Héloïse Temple-Boyer, who had served on Puma’s Supervisory Board since 2019 and as its chair since 2022. Her mandate ended after the sale of Artémis’s stake to Anta Sports was completed in early October 2026.
Jean-Marc Duplaix has also left the Supervisory Board. He previously served from 2012 to 2019 before returning in May 2023. Puma has not disclosed further details about the new board members’ professional backgrounds or the terms of the transaction.
Puma CEO Arthur Hoeld welcomed the appointments, saying Tao and Huang would bring valuable industry knowledge and experience working with leading global and Chinese brands as the company moves forward.
The changes extend to Puma’s operational leadership in Europe. Fokko de Rooij became the company’s new general manager for Europe on 1 October 2026, reporting directly to Hoeld.
Hoeld has also temporarily taken on the responsibilities of commercial director while Puma searches for a successor.
Meanwhile, Johan Adamsson is leaving Puma after more than 25 years with the company. He joined in February 2001 as deputy football marketing manager and most recently served as vice president of Global Sports Marketing and Sports Licensing.
The board appointments and leadership changes come as Puma enters a new phase following the change in its shareholder structure.
